Keri loves to eat Whittakers chocolate and broccoli (as well as worms of course), and she will go to great lengths to seek them out. When she’s at home, Keri loves to play hide and seek. When she grows up she wants to be an astronomer and discover a new planet.Keri often helps her mates with maths questions and teaches them to spell new words.

Introducing Piri the Pukeko

Piri is a young pukeko, a blue swamp hen with long gangly orange legs. He is gregarious and has lots of mates but his very best friend is Keri the Kiwi. His favourite foods are pineapple lumps, brussel sprouts and carrot weed roots. When he’s older he wants to be in a circus and walk on stilts with the clowns.Piri is very good at running. He always wins the cross-country races at school.

  1. Rated 5 out of 5

We bought Piri’s Picnic, and it is a huge hit with our 2 year old daughter. She loves pukekos so this was even better. The rhyming is easy to read out to her, and not too long so we can get through an entire book without her getting bored.

These books are gorgeous, I shipped them off to my niece and nephew in Aussie so they had a bit more knowledge about their “kiwi” cousins.
